GUIDELINES TO SUBMIT ACS ORATION MANUSCRIPTS 2024






                                          Submission deadline: 10th of June 2024


Submissions are invited for the ASC oration to be delivered during the inauguration ceremony of the Annual Scientific Sessions of the Anuradhapura Clinical Society  – on 6th of August 2024 


The oration should be based on original and personal work related to the field of medicine published in the form of peer reviewed indexed journal articles, and should not have been previously presented in a slimier context in a public/ academic forum.

  • Two soft copies of the oration should be sent before the above deadline to the Secretory, ACS via e-mail 
                                      clinicalsociety.apura@gmail.com 
  • One (1) copy should bear the name of the presenter and the other should be anonymized (i.e. not contain his/her name). 
A full curriculum vitae of the author should be sent with manuscript. 

There should be no substantial alterations to the submitted text when the oration is delivered. 
The duration of the oration will be 40 minutes. 
A committee appointed by the Council of the ACS will scrutinize the manuscripts and recommend the award of the oration to the most suitable candidate. 
In the event of no submissions of suitable caliber being received, the particular oration/s may not be awarded for the particular year.

Soft copies of following documents to be attached with the oration

1. Oration (with a structured abstract not exceeding 300 words): Max 3000 words
            a. Two (02) copies 
                    i. One (01) with all personal details 
                    ii. Other (01) without personal details
2. Full CV
3. Copies of all published work related to the oration
4. In case of using papers with first authors other than the researcher submitting the oration, a letter from the first author giving permission to use the particular paper in the oration.
