ANURADHAPURA CLINICAL SOCIETY

Anuradhapura has been the forefront of medical services in Sri Lanka, from the days of ancient kings. According to the archaeological reports the monuments of the ancient hospital in Mihintale which was built by King Sena II dates back to the 9th century.
More recently we were one of the main centers of treating for war casualties for 30 years. With the establishment of the Rajarata Medical faculty, Anuradhapura has become a center of medical education.
Since its establishment in year 2000, The Anuradhapura Clinical Society -ACS has provided adequate medical care to the community. It has engaged in the activities, to keep the doctors and the other allied services uptodate. During this short period of time it has gained an enormous progress, by  planning, organizing Annual Scientific Sessions  and implementing other Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities. Since the year  2002 with 'Anuradhapura Medical Journal' it has supported publishing a wide range of research and other articles in health care. The website was launched in 2014 to maximize the opportunities to access information. Today the ACS has become a leading academic society of Sri Lanka. With our membership support we intend to explore new educational opportunities in the health field.
