About the Competition:

The Photography Concept 2024 is organized by the Anuradhapura Clinical Society. The competition consists of two categories: Stranded Category (SC) and Mobile Category (MC).

Stranded Category (SC):

Theme:

·        Wildlife Photography (Objects created by humans and evidence of human activity are not     allowed).

Participants:

·        Doctors (Only for North Central Province).

·        Medical Students (Only for Rajarata Medical Faculty).

·        Drug Representatives (Only for Contribution to Support ACS Clinical Session 2024).

File Naming for Stranded Category (SC):

·        File names must begin with "SC_" followed by the title of the photo. (Ex. SC_Lovely Mother)

·        Untitled images or images captioned "no title" are subject to elimination before the judging process.

Image Specifications for Stranded Category (SC):

·        Submissions must be in JPEG format, originally taken by a digital camera.

·        All photos must be taken by the entrant.

·        Entries can be in color or monochrome.

·        File size: Maximum of 5MB.

·        No borders, watermarks, or signatures should be included.

·        Digital adjustments are allowed, but adding or removing objects, animals, or parts of animals, plants, people, etc., is not allowed.

·        Entrants should not include their names in the caption or on the image itself.

·        Original RAW or JPEG files must be submitted for the final round.

Mobile Category (MC):

Theme:

·        Open Category (Any kind of photography captured from a mobile phone).

Participants:

·        Doctors (Only for North Central Province).

·        Medical Students (Only for Rajarata Medical Faculty).

·        Drug Representatives (Only for Contribution to Support ACS Clinical Session 2024).

File Naming for Mobile Category (MC):

                 File names must begin with "MC_" followed by the title of the photo. (Ex.Colourful Evening)

                 Untitled images or images captioned "no title" are subject to elimination before the judging process.

Image Specifications for Mobile Category (MC):

·        Submissions must be in JPEG format, originally taken by a mobile phone.

·        All photos must be taken by the entrant.

·        Entries can be in color or monochrome.

·        File size: Maximum of 5MB.

Entry Submission:

Participants are invited to submit entries limited to five photographs, which can be entered into one or both categories, via the following email address: photography.acs2044@gmail.com.

Timeline:

       Open for Entry: 20th May 2024

       Deadline for Entry: 11.59 PM, 30th June 2024

       Request for Original and High-Resolution Files (Only for Shortlisted Entries): 2nd week of July 2024

       Award Ceremony: 6th August 2024, 5.30 p.m. at Golden Mango Hotel, Anuradhapura, at the Inauguration Ceremony of ACS 2024.

Judging, Awards, Prizes:

·        An independent panel of judges will make all decisions.

·        All decisions made by the judges will be considered final.

·        From the selected entries, the following awards will be given in both categories separately.

·        1st Place: LKR 50,000.00 + Gifts

·        2nd Place: LKR 35,000.00 + Gifts

·        3rd Place: LKR 25,000.00 + Gifts

·        All 20 winners in both categories will receive certificates.

(10 winners for each category)
